I've just had a brilliant weekend in Scotland with Mrs Stevebrooke whilst the teenager was away with his mates in Anglesey. I'd heard the roads are quiet up there but I was amazed that even on a sunny day on the main roads a line of 4 or 5 vehicles is about as bad as it gets. I managed about 1200 miles in 4 days including getting there and back. The only downside was we were in the car. However, the climate control, acres of boot space, comfy seats and 55 mpg made it more tolerable.
Anyway, back to the point of my post. We stopped at a B & B in Killin at the western end of Loch Tay. A big thank you for an extremely comfortable stay, great breakfasts and tourist information to John and Cath Goulden. (yes DK it's Sarah's mum and dad). They are highly recommended by me and her, they have a bike lock-up, and the proprietor is also a keen biker being the owner of a Triumph something-or-other (sorry John, I forgot which model you said you had).
So if you're off to the land where men wear skirts d04l1ng and you're not stopping at Marcella's give this place a try.

I gave them details of the Hartside website so they might be on there in the near future.
