Rear Monoshork Dead what are the options??

The OE Showa unit has bust its guts and dropped oil all over the Tyne bridge

What are my options here as regards replacement shocks I know Ohlins do one but its pretty much outta my price range atm so any other brand suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was also told the Showa is non rebuildable is this correct ?

I made it to just over 21,000 miles on my (had from new) S reg 'bird.

To be fair to the shock I use the bike all year round and I guess all that road salt from winter use had its evil way in the end.

This also shows how well the 'bird is finished as there is virtually no corrosion other than the obvious liek foot rests and such but its getting some TLC this winter and a LOT of polishing.

I have a car for winter use now as an old mountain bike shoulder injury gets me hurting too much in the cold now
