SSE chief executive Alistair Phillips-Davies called for the levies to be paid for by general taxation, which he said would reduce bills by ?110 immediately.

What a total absolute fuckwit of the first order

Who does he think will ultimately pay this mystical general tax then ?

Yup, that would be the same people he claims he is gonna save money !!!!


Oh,,,, as an aside,,

SSE delivered a 3.2% increase in its interim dividend payment to investors and pledged to hand out above inflation increases in its full year dividend

There's only one thing him and all other utility company bosses are interested in..... how much is in their pay & pension pot and feck the rest (keep the investors sweet, screw the customers by joining one massive cartel to do it and they can award em selves what they want)... They even make MP's look philanthropic

When I got my letter from SSE announcing price increases, I switched supplier. I got a fixed-price deal for two years with Scottish Electric just before they announced price increases. :yo:
