Wolf,

not 100%, but i think that the records stops with the person for ever (again I could be wrong here)

I think the question to be asked is how long does it have to be declared, again, not sure but try here for some help.

Sorry I'm not much help !!

It's on there

for life. However after five years (I think) it become a spent conviction which means it does not get taken into consideration if you are a silly boy again. That is the theory, practise is something else. All part of rehabilitation of offenders.

this may help http://www.lawontheweb.co.uk/rehabact.htm

Ok, this info is proly so far out of date as to be a joke, but.....

It USED to be that if nothing was heard of a person again for 30 years the records were destroyed.. But that was in the good old bad old days before putors and was almost certainly because it was impoosible to store that much info !

Nowadays I would think it is almost certainly 100 years before automatic deletion would occur ( that is of course a wild guess but one based on certain info relating to work I was involved in about 10 years ago )

If it was a juvenile caution, it dosent carry over onto your adult record.
