Pete the Greek

Some of you will remember Pete the Greek.
The week before last we went out the the Peloponesse where he lives these days and had a few great meets with him and Sandra.
I have just found out that Pete suffered a 'brain fart' on Monday and is currently in Kalamata hospital.
I don't know much more at the moment.

Oh christ.. lets hope he got away lightly.. Its been a year and 25 days since mine....... Thinking of you Pete ( and Sandra )
I will try and contact @Fat Bert as they were good friends at one time

The only update that I have is that it has affected his whole left side.
He says he's working hard to get better!

That is good on a lot of levels.
That he is compos mentis enough to think clearly and know the solution
That he has not accepted it as a fait accompli
That he is working hard to get over it

After 13 months I am still a bit buggered but folk assure me the effects are barely discernible now ( though they may just be being kind )

Pete had bypass surgery a few years back (the same as myself) and so has a good understanding of things.
With my second event, breakaway plaque caused me a second heart attack with resulting heart failure problems.
Looks like in Pete's case the plaque has gone upstairs, causing the brain fart.

Life came be a real bitch at times.

Just read this, hope he'sgetting better, if you could tell him to take things easy, it comes back with time, but by heck it's frustrsting.

I'm OK Derek. My heart attack was nearly a year ago. Just been back to the consultant who is more than happy with my current physical activities.

UPDATE
Pete is back home. He is walking (even went into his swimming pool yesterday) but still no use in left arm.
He is back to the hospital next week for MRI scans.

Pete was eating out yesterday and this was his appraisal of his recovery. Leg 100%, arm 80%

Think he said he was going for it today.....

I'm a bit late to this party but a speedy recovery to Pete.

Good to hear that both Johns are doing well.

I'm also a bit late for this as ive been a bit busy myself, but wish him all the best.
It appears he's been lucky and the brain fart is an annoying agro hiccup.
