Just got back from the hospital the op looks to have gone well for him.
He's now got a new knee and a rod inserted down his arm,the doc says he's got to keep any weight off the leg for a minimum of 3 months. He'd only just woke from the op as we got there so was pretty groggy but in good spirit's.
Says thanks to all for the calls and txt messages.

Pass on my regards again BLU.
But leave it a dat or two. Chances are he won't remember the next couple of days with any clarity later on.
And keep the encouragement and support going over the next "few?" months or whatever it takes, This rehab lark can be an absolute bastard at times:shooter:

Stan / Blu

I hope it's not a plastic knee they've fitted

Word of warning though......

If it IS make sure he gets a bed away from the radiator?

After all, don't want him melting!

stan the man

you are not capable
just got back from visiting the old fart, and he's a little better than he was yesterday.almost his "usual" self lol...torturing the nursing staff, complaining about his "drugs"or the lack of,and having nurses bed washing him etc.he just wants to get home now,but it looks like he's got another few weeks in hospital, and several months recovering.he thanks everyone for their good wishes.....

and he doesn't know what material they've used for his knee, bert!
