Hi folks,
Just signed up as I have bought a 2003 blackbird the bike I've always wanted and hopefully be doing a lot of touring about on the beast . I'm looking for a set of panniers and frame (without indicators), do any of you's know where I can get these from.

Thanks,
John.

Thought the rule was no piss taking until an answer had been provided. Expected better behaviour from one so senior. Naughty step for one minute per year of age so see you sometime in December!

I use sw motech John. It's not the cheapest but it is the dogs bollocks. The racks can be taken off the bike very quickly which just leaves some unobtrusive mounting lugs when you don't need the luggage. Check out their website.

OI, get back to the bottom of the pile where you belong.....

The rule is 'no piss taking in the HELP section until question answered'.

Check your facts before trying to be Charley Big Bollocks on here.

I think you have just set a new record for being suspended on this forum.

Good afternoon and welcome John. Please ignore our moaning moderator. He is bitter because his wife banned him from two wheels when he retired. :D May I suggest you upgrade your account to sponsor. The cost is only £5.50 per year and helps to pay for this "not for profit" site. The account upgrade button is at the top. This will allow you full access to the site including the bits for sale section. It also allows as many posts as you wish and access to the pool of knowledge of the members on here. For example the BBird has a potential deadly hazard in a plug in the wiring loom. This plug is only used at manufacture and is then taped up. It ALWAYS corrodes and needs to be fixed before it causes problems. This is an easy fix and full details are available with piccies.

Whilst you are correct that the rule on piss taking only applies to the Help section as our moderator your welcome to a potential new member left a lot to be desired. If you are too busy to help someone new I suggest you refrain from posting unhelpful comments on their initial posting and leave the replies to others.

I believe you meant 'upgrade to sponsor'?

Would you like me to amend your post for you?

Or would that be unhelpful?

My understanding is that Jaws is still funding a large part of the costs of this site personally. I believe the role of moderator includes encouraging new faces to become sponsors. Whilst we regular members know and enjoy your quirky sense of humour a new poster is not likely to and may well be put off. So I repeat if you can't be arsed to help a new poster then I suggest you do nothing which might persuade them to go elsewhere in the hunt for a helpful response. Yes really, Andy. I suggest you get a grip and do the job you agreed to do. It would be helpful if you altered my post to "sponsor"

Come off it.

If you trawl back you will find I spend plenty of time encouraging visitors to sponsor.

Since when did you decide to be my surrogate dad?

Not even surrogate. I agree you are usually the first to welcome new members but in this case you were way out of line so why not be a big boy and admit it? (y)

If I was way out of line I would admit it.

How about you admitting you are acting like a patronising old git??
