a bloke in america backed a rubbish lorry into his own car so he decided to sue the council for damages,he admitted he was at wrong and the coucil said they would not pay out,he then said he would get his wife to sue and they said that wont work as in california a married couple are one entity,he is in effect sueing himself for the damages he caused to his property

There used to be a few of these flying round the internet.

A couple of classics I remember were the one about the bloke who sued his Winnibago (motorhome as big as a house) manufacturer after he left the thing on cruise control and went to make a drink in the rear and it crashed.

And the woman who successfully sued a furniture store after she tripped over a child who was running around the store unsupervised. It was HER kid.
