I'm thinking of doing a trip to the Nurburgring this year; either in July or August, I've no firm plans as yet but I wuz wunderin if anyone else would be interested in doing a couple of laps?.:yo:

It would only be a short trip (2-3 days max) and probably weekdays; not a weekend.

Cheers Lumpy was hunting around for that.

So no one up for it then? shame 'cause as my mate dropped his Sprint the other week he's been banned from coming:xm so it's now just me and another friend on his 1098 (if it makes it that far without breaking down).

Would be nice to have someone along who has experience riding the Ring (oohh errr h1d1ng2)

Hi Nick.

Now wouldn't that be nice! Nah, taking my own car, Audi S6 so gotta take it easy(ish) and get it home in one piece h1d1ng2

You thinking about making a return trip then? g0551p

How long have you been a hairdresser Russ?

Hairdresser's car? I think not, oh thieving one

230bhp (soon to be 280) and 4wd means it has enough to surprise a lot of far more 'sporty' cars. Clearly not a patch on a bike though - even a BMW off roader type jobbie! Eats Carltons and Vectra's for breakfast though... d04l1ng

does it come with green wellies too Russ!!

I'd imagine that they could have been on the options list when it was new! Unfortunately had to supply my own footwear for dog walking duties.

Of course, had this been a Welsh car, it would definitely come with a slightly over-sized pair of wellies for those 'intimate' moments with the local wildlife p0pc0rn41

Would be interested

Andy,

I would be interested depending upon the dates.

Unfortunately I have not been before and hence fail to meet the criteria of someone who knows the track, but have always fancied doing it. When you are firmer on dates then let me know.

Mike

Well guess you will be a lot safer on 4 wheels, are you going to try and make it round in under 10 mins? Any idea what sort of time we were doing it in - not that i could have been that quick without following you btw?

It is a wierd feeling doing the 6 laps as at first its all new and you run on andrenalin but when you have your first over-cooked corner you slow down a bit and start to realise how bloody dangerous the whole place is with cars vans busses and oil  By the last lap i just wanted to make it round safe so we could get home in one piece!

Would like another go as will know what to expect this time plus ive been doing the PS2 GT4 ring circuit so now i'm a track expert.......not fl4g71

we found some nice roads on the trip over too so makes for a nice short biking holiday! Just back from France and Italy so am keen to get away again!
