If you keep saying it to yourself you might just believe it :p welcome to the site mate admit it though you wanted a BLACKbird but were too scared of the speed so you opted for the silver.

Hi

I am another newbie. Bought my Bird from Hailsham just over a week ago (160 mile trip in rain and dark for a first experience) - January 2004 in Silver with 9k on clock. I live in Market Harborough and I am semi retired (means I get to ride to Spain and back a couple of times a year if anyone is interested in a trip).

I still have my Jan 2002 600 Hornet which I did the Spain trip on last year. My wife and I covered 800 miles in one day (November) starting off in freezing fog hence the purchase of the Bird. (For sale if anyone's wife is interested - unfortunately mine isn't)

Anyone out there live in my area?

Hi,

We live just down the road in Lutterworth, and have been dreaming of going to Spain on the Bird.

welcome to the club.

Hello All,

I have a confession! Had the bird for just over the year, but its taken me that length of time to join the forum. No excuse just a lazy fecker!!! Anyhoo, mines a 1999 blue blackbird, and I love her more than is healthy, but there you go. Just today fitted official honda luggage in my leaky old garage. Should have taken about an hour, but as is usual with these things, the instructions were mince. 5hrs later shes panniered up and looking awsome. Had some problems, like the regulator being where a bolt should be, however some nifty work with a grinder sorted that out!! Not on the regulator I may add, just on the plate I was trying to fit!!!

Anyhoo, got the luggage at 350 including the fitting kit, so it was well worth the cash. Heres to the first of many posts.

Im heading to France in May 2007 for 5 days.. Hull to Rotterdam. Looking for some advice on where to go once I dock. Like to see some wee quaint villages, some tourist stuff, maybes some scenary, good food and a generally relaxing time. If youve any ideas or previous experience in this area please let me know. All the best.

Welcome

Thanks for the welcome all.

I have to say that the blue blackbird is stunning. Not to be confused with a black bluebird, a rocket propelled boat that sadly sank to the bottom of Conniston Lake with the tragic loss of Donald Campbell or a black and blue bird, a member of the fairer sex who has fallen down the stairs.

Anyway, enough of the twaddle. Whatever the colour, CBR 1100 xx SooperBlackbirds are the bogs dollocks, Thats all I have to say! Other than, Smix thats a luvly pic of an apple you have.............. an apple with a crevice, but luvely all the same ahem!

More tea vicar...............? :-:

If you turn your head 90 degrees to the left so your head is on your shoulder it looks like a nice shiney pair of red lips (facial variety)

It's a sports tourer, not a full on sports bike.
