As far as I am aware this has not been mentioned anywhere else..
There seems to be a new way to lay roads.. Similar to the old method re spraying tar and then chipping, but in this case they use a slightly different spray mix and do not chip.. the same stuff is also used in that macadam type covering..
It seems that whatever it is stays bloody slippery for up to 6 weeks after it is laid.
If you see any newly laid road surface avoid it like the plague.. and if there are no warning signs out get on to:
