Hey all, short time lurker even shorter time owner!

Picked up my accidental, alcohol fuelled, impulse eBay bargain last week. 2002 Honda Blackbird, 40k miles, full history, tonnes of receipts and MOTs, carbon hugger and tail tidy, adjustable levers, R&G crash bobbins and bar risers. Runs lovely, body work is in a decent condition but would benefit from a polish and it goes like stink!

Got it for a whopping ?1.5k!

I love forums and the help they can give. I look forward to chatting to a few of you!

Good size garage with hardly any clutter. search works a treat, very few issues that can be easily fixed (with a multimeter mostly) and everyone in here takes the piss.

As a matter of interest, and I cannot be 100% sure, but that looks more like a late 1999 model to me.
Wheel colour, engine casing colour and frame colour

Also no cats in the zorst so pre digi dash.. Therefore pre 2001

First of all don't read anything into this, it's a genuine question. Did you hpi it first? Johns (Jaws) comment on the bits, do look like an earlier model. Is it a digi dash or standard clocks model?

even with shipping, fixing the bodged up loom fix,strapping the ecu down, replacing the stator, regulator & battery and doing a basic service she was still less than ?1k

Cheers for the replies chaps. Bike was fully hpi checked before buying, no crashes, not imported and everything appears the check out just fine. I have a myriad of paper work with it too and all old MOTs.

I think it was just an older model, registered a little late :dunno:
