"Biker Boyz" is an action-packed contemporary Western on wheels with desperados who live every day on the edge. Lawyers and city workers by day, they take to the streets in their leathers to race by night.
In the world of underground motorcycle clubs, the undefeated racer known as Smoke (Laurence Fishburne) is the undisputed "King of Cali." But Smoke's dominance of the set is about to be threatened by a young motorcycle racing prodigy called Kid (Derek Luke), who is determined to win Smoke's helmet and earn the coveted title.
"Biker Boyz" stars Academy Award nominee Laurence Fishburne ("What's Love Got To Do With It") as Smoke, and Derek Luke, who made his acting debut in the title role of the upcoming "The Antwone Fisher Story," in the role of Kid.
The film also stars Kid Rock ("Joe Dirt"),
Orlando Jones ("The Time Machine"),
Djimon Hounsou ("Gladiator"),
Lisa Bonet ("Enemy of the State"),
Salli Richardson-Whitfield ("Family Law"),
Larenz Tate ("Love Jones"),

Vanessa Bell Calloway ("The Brothers"),
Dion Basco ("Love and Basketball"),
Dante Basco ("Extreme Days"),
Melissa DeSousa ("The Best Man"),
Kadeem Hardison ("Showtime"),
and Tyson Beckford ("Zoolander").
"Biker Boyz" marks the first major studio feature to be directed by Reggie Rock Bythewood, whose film debut, "Dancing in September," was an official selection at the Sundance Film Festival and premiered on HBO last year. Bythewood, whose credits as a screenwriter include Spike Lee's "Get On The Bus," also co-wrote the screenplay with C. Fernandez.
Based on a New Times Magazine article of the same name, penned by Michael Gougis, "Biker Boyz"is produced by Stephanie Allain and Gina Prince-Bythewood, along with Erwin Stoff from 3 Arts Entertainment. Don Kurt is the executive producer, with Paul Garnes, Tammy Garnes and Roee Sharon Peled serving as associate producers.
