Naked Riding

Just for the avoidance of any doubt about riding without protective kit on.....

Yesterday morning I was travelling in lane one (the one next to the hard shoulder) west along the M27 in my car.
A car travelling in the opposite direction hit the armco barrier central reservation and we were showered with the flying debris.
The car looks like its just come from a battle zone but most worryingly we now have what looks like three bullet holes in the rear panel...........

If I had been on the bike then I'm pretty certain I would have been seriously injured by the flying debris which almost certainly would have knocked me off causing further injury and damage.

So there you are - you never know whats going to happen next - but at least you can anticipate it and do something about it - unlike the custom bike rider I saw a few minutes later in his best flip flops, shorts and
t-shirt..............it's your choice........................

Summer Nights

I see a few of you are attending the hot Summer club nights ,wearing only T Shirts, Shorts and Trainers, your choice but just a few thoughts; if you do part company with your bike.

Firstly the tibia cracks on the footpeg and protrudes out of your leg, you do not hear this because of the sound of the engine, it does not hurt yet, your foot/ankle break caught up underneath the bike, still it does not hurt, now you are on the ground you slide along the road, friction caused by contact with the tarmac will soon be tearing through your flesh, still no pain, the scraping, splitting and grinding of newly exposed bones causes a heck of a mess, by now you will have lost

most of the skin from your bum and arms and now it will start to hurt no knee protection either ouch, that really hurts when it hit?s the deck, but still the good old thighbone is always there to snap in a couple of places, by this time it should be hurting really bad.

Oop?s almost forgot that leg or foot that became detached, is it really worth dressing up like a pratt.

Eh Hoppy?
