At my last MOT Birds done 38k tester said slight movement in direction of travel of front discs. Makes for a clicking noise when moved in that direction by hand. Set of new discs I suppose? Has anyone else had this problem.

Its common on floating discs, the bobbins eventually wear & its made worse if you have had a sticky calliper at any time. some people will tighten bobbins but its not something I feel comfortable doing I'd rather just get new discs but none of that cheap Chinese shite, you wouldn't believe the amount of chinky discs I have failed at really low mlilages

If there is enough movement for the tester to advise it then it WILL get worse & become unsafe sooner rather than later so I'm afraid you will have to bite the bullet & get some discs mate, check & clean the callipers out while you are there ;)

For me its standard EBC every time for the discs but I think all EBC pads are crap

Wavy's do wear pads a bit more initially IMO but once they are bedded in I cant see a difference in wear or performance, still I wouldn't let them near a bike of mine unless I was really really desperate & they were a very good make but cheap.
