Jus tbought the Blackbird... which ckint me anyway...
then against all common sense i let my wallet loose at jaws place the other day , I forked out for my insurance up front......
And then today , i'm tootling along 10 miles from home off to see a mate....
I notice huge black clouds ahead on the M1.... i decide to avoid them and turn off at j28 through mansfield ..
Get onto the A38 just outside mansfield.....then... thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud
Shit i thought... thats the new cct that i'd just put in the night before....
pulled over ... it stopped thudding.... revved the engine.. that was fine...
Just as i got the bike on its stand on the a38..... here came the HAIL !!! of all things....
i looked around , then found an inch of metal protuding out of the rear tyre.....a NEW tyre at that....
well stumpted at not knowing the area i made a few calls... but then a riding instructor and student rode passed and he told me to follow him as he knew a place just down the road...
I had to take the metal out or it would carry on ripping the shredds out of my rear hugger... just as i did ... here came the hail again.. .and the tyre just instantly deflated...
I followed him at 10mph max ... sliding all over..
Got there... and i thought .. well jaws told me the dunlops i had on were pretty pants and to change to something else given half a chance.,
Well found the garage.... a harley one at that... oh dear i thought...
I told them my predicament and how i'd love it if they had bridgstones or avons.........and what did they have????
only had one tyre for my size ... a rear... and it was the bloody dunlop 207 that i already had on ..
hundred quid fitted..
i couldnt complain as i had no other way of getting anywhere....
am i the unluckiest bugger about or what..,
Oh and to top it all.... not realising how id fly through the miles after picking the bike up on friday....... its 400 miles off its 16k service. !!!!!!!!!!!

oh and i must just thank the riding instructor guy who helped me out..not that he'd be reading this.
