...Mis-Oh, NO, Hector...!

Still kickin' it!
Well? If I wasn?t a Rossi fan I?d have switched the telly off as soon as Dani Pedrosa was decked by bungling Barbera.

It?s time Hector retired. s04pb0x6

I can remember an article (2005?) in which John Reynolds referred to his crash at Brands as ?a final warning? that prompted his retirement. If Hector Barbera considers how many crashes, accidents and incidents he?s been involved in over the past couple of seasons, hopefully he?ll reach the same conclusion.

Barbera?s mistake at Misano ruined what was going to be a brilliant race for the Championship (not the win ? I don?t Dani would have caught George ? but it would have been great watching him try because, after only a few corners, he was up to eighth place from starting at the back of the grid!). Now, George has a 38 point lead.

:bang: Thanks, Hector!

As I?d hoped, the testing at Misano paid off for Team Ducatino ? but the bike is still a long, long way off the Yamaha/Honda pace. Finishing ?only? 4.4 seconds behind a cruising Lorenzo isn?t a true measure of the Ducati?s evident improvement: the remaining five outings will tell us more. :-:

Most important, though, is that Rossi rode well and thoroughly deserved to be on the podium. I?m beginning to wish he was staying for another season, as it seems Team Ducatino has made an important step forward and, hopefully, the ?Aragon afters? will give Rossi fans even more to smile about.

...It was a nice little nudge for George, too, wasn't it? ;-0))

Come On? Come on, Vale?!! :-0)

True ? but that?s why they get paid so much ? and they really DO earn their money, as far as I?m concerned. You don?t have to be Sherlock Holmes to discover that Barbera has been a serial crasher for quite a while now ? it was just a matter of time before he took out a top rider. The lad?s obviously a good racer and hard as nails but, demonstrably, he lacks the fine judgement needed at the highest level.

Now, unfortunately, he?s had a (potentially, huge) negative effect on the MotoGP championship through what he describes as a racing incident ? but that shouldn?t obscure the fact that it was he who hit Pedrosa ? and the rider in front always has ?right of way?. No excuses.
