mirror glass

Hi all.......again,
Being a new owner of a xx and trying to get it round to how would like it with sorting out
bits that are not up to scratch, one being the back of the mirror glass is starting to go.
Is it possible to replace just the mirror glass if I had some cut and if so what's involved.

The mirrors I believe are the same throughout the years. Might be easier to see if Taffy in here has a decent second hand one, Just put wanted mirror glass in the bird rehoming section, he normally spots it.

The mirrors are actually curved.
Several years ago I replaced one with a bit of ordinary mirror as a temporary fix..
To say it was an odd sensation looking in each side and getting different 'pictures' is an understatement !

Both my blackbird 06 mirrors started silvering around the edges. Honda refused to do it under warranty despite only 4,000 miles, only used in the dry and full service history with Honda. It was just over 2 years old so i understood it was out of warranty but i asked them to discount the new parts but they wouldnt.

Ended up buying new ones from david silvers, they are now 8 years old, been on the bike for 11,000miles and been used in the rain and nothing has happened to them!! Goes to show the others were a faulty or shite made batch. They werent cheap 8 years ago either and i see nothing has changed to date !!!:wank:
