Thousands of riders back at Brno Circuit
to remember Marco Simoncelli

Spontaneous commemoration of Marco Simoncelli?s tragic death at Sepang is becoming a unique tradition at Brno Circuit. Thousands of motorcycle riders are heading to Brno to ride two honor laps on the track to remember Marco and his very first MotoGP podium at Brno Circuit. The event will take place at Brno Circuit on Sunday October 13th - the same day as MotoGP paddock will remember Marco at Sepang.

?This event was only a spontaneous meeting of MotoGP fans at the beginning. Next year we welcomed 1349 riders and set new track record in number of motorcycles riding at the same time on the track. And this year? Who knows? we are warned that there?s six hundreds riders coming together from only one of fourteen Czech regions. We know about German and Austrian riders coming to Brno etc. It would be massive,? Brno Circuit CEO Ivana Ulmanova outlined.

The event is opened to all riders. ?It doesn?t matter if you are riding supersport, chopper, scooter or vintage bike. The convoy will not speed over 60 kph. Just come at the circuit on Sunday at noon and you can ride with us. The only condition is to wear helmet. Gloves and other safety equipment are recommended,? explains Ulmanova. Each rider will get a special commemorative sticker on his bike. Following the number of released stickers organizers would be able to count precisely the number of motorcycles riding at the circuit at the same time. Naturally the honor ride is free of charge for all riders.

The convoy will be led by Czech motorcycle riders Karel Hanika (2013 Red Bull MotoGP? Rookies Cup Champion), Kamil Holan (2012 Manx GP Newcomers 600 winner), Pepa ?Hornet? Siler (stunt rider) and Ondrej Jezek (Superstock 1000 FIM Cup). Participation of injured Karel Abraham would be confirmed. ?Probably I can?t ride, but I want to be there and see the crowd riding the circuit. It was unforgettable last year and I hope it will be even better this year,? says Abraham.

The event is organized in cooperation with Abajafans, Karel Abraham?s Official Fan Club.
