Making a come back here

I was forced to sell my custom '03 (US spec) XX to pay some important bills back about 8 years ago. Didn't think after being away from riding all those years I'd be getting back into it. Got the urge again to ride and bought a new left-over Kawasaki Ninja 1000 (1000sx outside the US)a great and fun bike.
I kept thinking how much I missed my '03 XX and how I wished I was in a financial position to have kept it.
So......I started looking for one through different sources and found one in the Detroit, Mich. area , about 11 hours drive from my home near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Bike is a 2001 model in factory red metallic, has only 13,215 original miles on it (not bad for a 17 year old bike), came with new tires, Heli-bar handlebars, full Akrapovic exhaust and a Corbin "Smuggler" solo seat.
No crash damage but a few scratches and a small crack on the right side of the tail section. All for $4300 USD and the owner transported it to my location!
I've got big plans for it and it'll be similar in a lot of ways to my last XX, except this one will be a nice medium blue metallic with a decent amount of silver metallic painted sections as well.
I'm looking forward to the build and can't wait to show pics of the completed project .
I also purchased some Euro accessories for my last XX and hope to rely on members here to provide me with the information to obtain these accessories ( like the aluminum chain guard with "CBR 1100 XX" cut into the side)

Cheers,
Steve

Jawsmotorcycles.co.uk is the Mecca for Bird parts in the U.K.

Couldn't you have got a decent 60s Mopar for the same money?

I currently have two '90s GM full size station wagons. A 1994 semi-custom Chevrolet Caprice and a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate. The Caprice goes on ebay (hopefully) in a couple months and the Roadmaster is one of two "daily drivers" I use.
Never was a Mopar kind of guy, mostly owned GM vehicles , only two Ford products and a variety of Toyotas
Ever since my first XX back in 2000, I've got a real love of them. Don't care if they are no longer the quickest/fastest bike on the road, it's the over all experience the XX provides that appeals to me.

Thanks for the Jaws motorcycle info!

Thanks. I sure as hell didn't vote for Trump. How embarrassing he's sitting in our "big chair".

I think he is great - no end of comedy opportunities and never, ever any hypocrisy or bullying from the most powerful man on the planet.

Never. Oh no.
