VR went quickest.............
:yo: Sometimes the tiniest, seemingly most irrelevant detail can give an insight into the mind of a genius.

I watched the first free practice (taped it) and Toby Moody was commenting that Nicky Hayden was wearing "double thickness" knee sliders in the wet and explaining the crucial importance of using the "knee-down" technique to guage the amount of available grip...Next shot:

Around comes Rossi - without knee sliders - cranked over like a bastard an' goin' faster than 'em all!

I don't care anymore!!! :dunno:

Win or lose - as far as I'm concerned - he's the greatest!!!

Come on, VALE!!!

gota agree

Vale seemed to be more on the ball in the wet,, BTW,, he did have his normal sliders on( without sliders  don't think so)

He seemed to get the bike well over,,for the wet conditions.

I didn't get up early enough to see FP3, ut have just watched the Qualifying and it's possibly a good job you don't care anymore DA! VR's 13th in the dry didn't look too good at all, especially as Edwards held pole right until the very end. This morning's session was dry then wet then dry - and one of the best yet..........

Pedrosa, Hopkins, Edwards and Nakano were fastest. Pedrosa broke the lap record by three quarters of a second.

Shaping up to be another great race

FP3 results below, I'll post the QP official times in a bit

You're right, Sam. The chatter problems returned with a vengeance when the qualifiying tyre went on! No wonder Vale's 13th on the grid!

I'm confident, though, that he'll do much better on a race tyre tomorrow - here's hoping he can finish ahead of Hayden and Capirossi, at least!

As you said: it's shaping up to be a great race!!! :yo:

4 different manufacturers occupying the first four places on the grid - when was the last time that happened??

This season is sweet already and we're not even a quarter of the way in!

My money's on the class newbie's again, Stoner and Pedrosa :yo: They're the most exciting things since The Doctor himself :yo:

The MotoGP class will race at 09:00 our time, so if you haven't got EuroSport then watch at www.motogp.com - otherwise you'll have to make do with just the beeb's highlights at 12:35

Anyone needing a log in and password to motogp.com drop me a PM before 11PM tonight..........Sam

Correction - the MotoGP class starts it half an hour, at 08:00 our time!

Just watched the other classes - great racing, Hector Barbera taking the win in the 250's and Mika Kalio from Passini in the 125's (by about a thousanth of a second!

MotoGP warm up looked like Hayden, Pedrosa, Caparossi, Rossi then Nakano
