Brian (RIP) the builder put this together in 1962 and I am the second owner. He was family so I’d better keep at it and do it justice. It is in a hell of a state right now. Fitted with a very rare 1961 T120R engine with a 1960 frame.
Also included was a load of old spare parts, most of them are crap, apart from an early TR6 engine cases, a crankshaft, a set of barrels and a gearbox.
Plenty of mucky fingernail hours out in the garage ahead of me. Thankfully there’s next to buggerall of it to take apart. IMG_3833.jpegIMG_3836.jpegIMG_3837.jpegIMG_3838.jpegIMG_3839.jpegIMG_3840.jpeg

Aaaaah! Simon, you lucky sod, that’s lovely. I built one in 1969 with the same engine, genuine 1961 T120R pre unit in a 1960 wideline frame finished in black with gold pinstriping upgraded with a pair of E3134 cams with R radius followers coupled with 3 key way timing gears, a 9 stud top half with 9.5 compression pistons completed the plot also a rare set of 389 Amal monoblocs with left and right hand float bowls. All the fibre glass was by Paul Dunstall, John Tickle clip ons and headlight brackets with Tomasselli levers and Boranni rims, looked a reet treat and went like greased weasel shit.
It was named Grizelda by a girlfriend at the time and sold in 1975 for £200 to help raise the deposit for my first house.
Often wondered where 133 FUO ended up.

Have fun tinkering my friend I truly envy you.

Yes it is threaded through the gearbox adjuster, looks a bit naff but it works. High tech 60+ years ago :risas3:

FFS, how many times! This is a forum for golf, DIY, BMWs and parrots! Membership of over ten years qualifies for support in the event of a bad ankle, but that’s it.

Fact.
