Joking apart, the number of times I have heard people say that those with long term medical conditions can really suffer in this heat and by and large I have thought to myself "Won't affect me"

How wrong can you be? I feel really crap during the day (maybe because I cannot regulate my body temperature like most and I can't just drink and drink to hydrate myself like most)

Come the evening things start to improve once the temprature cools down.

Roll on Autumn

As a long term sufferer I am of the belief that the majority of people get 'hay fever' at some point, however fleetingly, every summer but don't recognise it. And a lot won't acknowledge it, blaming 'Summer colds' (whatever that is!).

It can make you feel really crappy in so many ways. Fortunately these days it is generally quite easy to control with a nasal spray (Beconase works well for me) so if anyone is feeling crappy in this hot weather I would encourage them to have a think about whether it is hay fever - a lot of people think it is confined to sneezing, itchy eyes, runny nose, etc but it is often a stealthy menace that just makes you feel really tired and lethargic without any visible symptoms.

Grass has been in seed for a ridiculous length of time this year, one of the most common causes......

I know what you mean about the hay fever and totally agree with you. I am a sufferer but it does not cause me to feel like crap as I have done this year.

I know what is causing my problem. this fucked up piece of meat in my chest called a heart :(

One good thing about the hot weather in the UK is that it’ll make it infinitely easier for me to acclimatise when I come home next month. The temperatures you have at home are what we have here all year round but with humidity north of 90% for a lot of the time.

Even when I’ve come back home in the summer, I’ve felt a bit parky and it’s taken a while to get used to it.

Life is full of disappointment, spoke to my brother who lives in the East Midlands and I could hear the rain in the back ground. A little while late I took my ice cream cone and went and sat in the garden it started to spot with rain but I thought I would sit there until it started hammering in it down, so I was sat there for and hour had to run around to catch the rain. I expected to wake up this morning to the sound of cooling rain and woke to blue sky and heat :(
