Got the leg over and got it up this week

After a cortesone injection last week I finaly managed to lift my leg high enough to get it over the bird:yo:
after an hour in the saddle I was even feeling good enough to get a few wheelies in.
Cause there is still some back pain however I wasn't up to hustling about in the saddle too much for the twisties, made me realise how uncomfortable the standard saddle is when your perched in the same position for more than an hour and a half.
Anyway thankin the gods of weather for being so kind this week to let me get it out a few times before my op tomorrow and banishment from the bike for a possible six months:xm :xm

Anyway have a good summer all I'll probably make an appearance on here but doubt if I'll see anyone on the road unless your up this neck (just off the A93 in Banchoryshire) you'll be welcome for the obligatory bacon butty

Cheers Gerry

Really good luck for the op Gerry

As a fellow sufferer (I have osteo-arthiritis in my spine) I really do sympathise with you.

Get well soon Rolfy, as well!

Another injured biker

I am off the bike for a week or maybe two, and just as the weather turned nice.

I managed to fall into a barbeque and burn my stomach. Its not a deep burn, but it is across the whole of my stomach. Missed the important 1%, which is a bonus! The ambulance men thought it was funny and so did I until they tried to put a needle in my arm and then it got very ugly.

Worcester A&E have siad that I will be in bandages for a week or so. It only hurts when I try and move, but I did manage to get through A&E without having to have an injection, so that was a result!

Hence no bike until the skin has come back.

I sympathize with all of the long term injured bikers. Hope you all get back in the saddle as soon as possible.
