Well it has been a while but thought folks might like a wee update..

The dry built is completed
The whole lot has been taken apart and is off to be fettled with final preparation work and eventually paint

I have been agonising over colours for months and months.. Last night, unable to sleep for some reason, I had an epiphany !

It will be mainly white, with red and blue embellishments..
Red and blue must be very bright and very rich in colour

The advantages are

It will have a clean look
It will stand out
It will allow any graphics brit related to be added ( should the designer decide that is the way he wants to go )
It is patriotic

I always fancied doing mine in the original RC30 trim.

It has been five years 1.5 months since I stated this..And I think it was parked up in @Pugwash 's garden for a year before that.

Poured a drop of petrol in to the float bowl feed pipes ( still aint got a tank as it is still away at paint shop:eek: :rolleyes::( ) pulled the choke on and stabbed at the button

Did not expect too much as I was hooked to an old shagged car battery via some two bob jump leads..
Would you believe it fired up instantly !!!

And my goodness does it sound fantastic..
I made the back half of the header pipes making the system 4 in to 2 in to 1 and run that into a stubby that cost about £20 :)

I'm liking that idea :D

How about a satin black & gloss black combo with something like a metallic grey for decals & pinlines

Black has to be 100% right though as it shows up every fault or mark as I'm sure you already know

Not sure to be honest, may well be but it could be a Mercury (maybe a bit in the small side but hard to tell) or a Buick. Or Ford. Or Chrysler. Or De Soto.

Have a look here for inspiration...... https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/583497695442094297/

This is also interesting - nice car, nice paint.....just not sure about the two together!!

It is not a matter of inspiration, but lots of other factors I am afraid
I would have loved to do the paint my self but no longer have the facility
