Data mining is one thing...none of us can escape that these days (depsite the so called Data Protection Act), but willingly giving away your personal data inevitably increases the junk that you receive in your inbox and more seriously, it will exponentially increase the likelyhood of your personal data being used for nefarious purposes.

As someone from the financially sector, I'm surprised that you're not more circumspect about that.
