e regular revs on idle

Hi All,

I have a 99 Blackbird with 34000 miles on the clock I have had the bike for about 3 months but recently I took the bird to London to experience how the bike would handle in London traffic. the first part of the journey was ok but every now and then at low speeds i would loose revs. One time i was waiting at the traffic lights when my revs stated to rev up and down on its own. the revs hovered at around 500rpm up to 1500rpm and then back down to 500rpm this continued for approximately a minute and then eased off.

Could anyone tell me what cause of this is? or if anyone has experienced this issue before?. I have had two Backbirds in the past and have never experienced this issue before.

Just thought I would mention that a few days before, when leaving home, my idling was a bit irregular which caused my F1 light to come on. This did not last long as I switched the bike off and restated the F1 light did not come back on again. I am puzzled ...

To start with no matter what the tickover speed the FI light should not come on

This sounds to me like a classic loom fix problem

Unlikely to say the least.
At the basic level, the problem is being perceived back to front..
It is not the erratic idle that is casing the Efi light to,come on, but what is causing the EFI light to flicker is also causing the erratic tick over, hence the belief that the loom fix has proly never been done and is skanky, or it was done at some time but poorly and is now causing more issues
