Just written to the DVLA after receiving yet another letter from them asking me for stuff they already have.
11 months ago I applied for a Class 2 provisional entitlement. Since then, I've had 2 medicals, they've written to my doctor twice, my cardiologist twice and my diabetic consultant three times. I've written a complaint letter, never got a response, written to my local MP who got fobbed off. Now they've written to me again asking me to go for an ECG. Wouldn't mind but I've had two in the past 6 weeks, one of them at their request.
I've had to turn down 2 driving jobs, lost countless ££'s that I paid out to a training company, although I only paid a deposit, not the full £2100, been unable to hire a vehicle twice when abroad and now, in my current job, have to rely on public transport as it's their policy that without them seeing a physical licence, their insurers won't cover me.
So, I've just written to them stating I want my licence returned & sod the Class 2 provisional entitlement.
Bunch of incompetent a$$wipes.
As an aside someone who now works for the same people i do, left the DVLA drivers medical group earlier this year, said she left as she no longer wanted to be associated with an 'incompetent organisation with a couldn't care less attitude'
I'm expecting yet more letters to arrive from them sometime in October asking me if I'm sure I want it back.
