What about carrying spare batteries for your alarm fob?
That way if they go then you can simply swap them straight over.

Better still change them at least once a year.

If you read your alarm paperwork there is a way of turning the ignition on and off in a certain order and it bypasses the fob. Can't remember where my paperwork is though
