People in the water waving arms, spashing about, herding it around.

Helicopters, people shouting, boats buzzing around causing a cacophony of water bourne sound and shock waves.

Trussing it up and squashing it between two rib's.

Hoisting it in the air by two straps.

Smothering it with blankets, blanking out it's vision and subjecting it to more unnatural sounds and vibrations on the deck of a barge.

Etc, Etc, Etc......

Did they kill it with a massive dose of fear and stress....??

I don't know why they didn't get a boat downstream playing whale sounds, then maybe the whale would have turned to follow the sounds & they could have led it back to sea, maybe the way they did it attracted more tourists, maybe that's just a cynical way of looking at it, maybe I'm just gutted that the poor thing never made it.

I think they did the best they could at the time, remember London is not geared up for stray Whales..

Bloody press turned it into a media circus though, and joe public and thier pleasure crafts did not help..

Seen it with the Porpoises, soon as a pod is seen every craft makes for them to get a look see, just frightens them off.

Notice now that the rescue is over, no media attention, no one cares about the other Whale off Southend.........................
