Only as you have never been on an aeroplane.

Interesting exhibition in Poole Harbour about BOAC flying Sunderlands and Catolinas as a commercial passenger service.

A true age of progress.

I aint negative at all.. I do thing prof plum is a bit of a scam artist in a very pathetic way
Every thing he said is very close to utter bollox at best, and stinks of sour grapes

"An aircraft could be very claustrophobic and for many, air travel is anxiety inducing already.

"The refresh rate of screen technology may also have some undesirable side effects - will they flicker? What is the lag?

Either sor grapes or has absolutely NO idea what he talking about, but thinks making what sounds like the right noises believes people will be sucked in
Only those with very little technological nous would be sucked in
I believe the virtual window planes will be the future

Without vision the world stands still. There is always a better way.

You are probably old enough to remember the first commercial jet airliner - The Comet. A true marvel of it's time.

Two of them were lost with many deaths. It took a long time to work out why.

Windowless planes and cars is another step toward a safer world. For those that can see it.

As are driverless cars.

And space travel for all.

Windows that open on a hairyplane would be a cleverer invention.

Driverless cars are driven by computers, the only things that crash as much as cars.

Most people on a commercial airliner can see feck all anyway.
Virtual windows could be great....especially if you can configure the view. You could spend hours watching for a panel to detach, an engine to blow up or a crack to appear in the wing. :)

Windowless planes would be a great idea. With no break in continuity in the construction of the fuselage, it's obviously going to be stronger with no discontinuation of it's structural integrity. Also, using less fuel appeals to me as an old hippy that's all about the environment, maaaaan. Aside from that, I travel in horizontal class when flying long haul and these asshats who keep lifting the window shades when I'm trying to sleep do my head in.

If I want vr I'll look at my iPad, if I want to look at clouds/sea/mountains I'll look out of the plane window, Don't give a shit if someone's sleeping they should put on the eye mask provided or if there isn't one provided buy one before you get on the plane.

Structural weaknesses around the corners of the windows was the primary factor. As a result of the investigations, rounded corners in airliner windows were introduced.

No, but they have a one wheel horseless carriage attached to,water mills
Imagine if they'd originally used ferrets to plough their fields back in the day. You think engine output now be measured in BFP (brake ferretpower) and torque?
