Bristol area motorway cameras

They look like cctv to me. Too high up to be speed (safety) cameras, although the people who sit watching them will no doubt pass on to the police anything they see that looks iffy.

There are a load of these on the M1/A1 and M62 up here in West Yorkshire. The roads are clogged at rush hour and these give the police/traffic people a good view of what's going on.

I have been in West Yorks force control at Wakefield and seen what happens at the other end. They are monitored by civvy staff.

Nothing to worry about unless you do something really stupid.

CCTV cameras

If these cameras are fed by fibre optics they are unbelievable. They can look at a person from several hundred metres and read a badge on the coat! The company I work for cabled the new cameras for the Commonwealth Games last year in Manchester. Quality is fantastic, so beware! A number plate shouldn't be a problem!

Have a look at the Severn crossing camera - told you quality is good.
