Right listen up tossers.

There seems to have been a recent attempt at character assination on here, that IMHO has gone too far. We all like to take the piss and im one of the worse culprits. But, trying to kill someones bussiness reputaion is feckin low.

So, piss take all ya like but dont cross the line. I dont know Steamy, but I have spoken to him and he is well pissed off. What ever happend is between the parties concerned and has got feck all to do with us.

Now I dont give a shite whether anyone replies to this thread, but if ya do, dont start stirring the shite again. If that happens im gonna ask the chief bog dweller to lock it.

All I want is that half bog dweller back. Its boring just winding up Mick the pitch fork.

Now play nicely tossers :bow:

If people pay money for work & it's good, that's cool.

If people pay money and the work is crap, folk will hear about it.

If a job is problematic, it should be sorted before the client recieves it.


If your going to join a forum and be bold enough to tell everyone that they should come to you for a service, make sure you give a good standard of service and not just think the money will come rolling in & you can 'clean up this island'

Now, I can see I'm going to be 'birched' for posting this but I'll take the slating so I can point out what a few of the silent are thinking.

All I want to see is matey Rob get his lid replaced with something fit to look at, & safe to wear. A standard new one would be nice as recompence for an unfortunate turn of events.

If you have a complaint with a company that you are a customer of then I would recommend that you do as any other normal human being does and contact the company - hopefully that is simple enough for you to get your tiny little brains, that you store in your dicks, around?????

Alas I am sure you will continue to rant and rave and make stupider and stupider demands on behalf of your 'matey' because you simply do not know when to shut up.bl4hbl4h

Martin put up a post and I answered it with my own personal point of view. I understand you want to defend any work undertaken that has gone slightly wrong as perceived by the client, but if you think you can relying on custom based from word of mouth on a public forum then you have to be prepared for adverse publicity as well as praise when such situations arise.

If somebody has some work done somewhere and isn't happy, I'm hardly likely to go to the same place to have the same sort of work done, am I?

Your very perceptive in thinking I would respond. Predictable? Er, that would be an intelligent assumption as this is a forum & it works by having 'on line discussions.

Hmm... I don't often butt in on stuff like this but having read the preceeding posts I think this time I will, as it's a free world and all that.

1. I didn't actually bother reading the previous posts on the subject until the one by Rob on "setting the facts straight".

2. If I read that correctly, it was in response to one claiming all was now hunkydory & Rob was a happy bunny.

Robs post would seem to indicate this was far from true in his eyes.


So my view is:

1. If I get service I'm not happy with from someone it's entirely up to me how I resolve it. I may choose to try and sort out with the supplier ... I might not .... it's entirely up to me.

2. If I'm not happy then I can tell whoever I like about it regardless of how I choose to resolve the situation.

3. If an individual or company believes I've caused them harm by my actions, written or verbal expressions then they have the same laws as everyone else to utlise.



It's a generally recognised statistic in the customer service world (so I'm told) that for every one customer who complains to your face there will be at least four others who are unhappy and wouldn't go near you again. For each of those unhappy peeps they will tell around thirteen others of their experience and recommend folks keep their distance.


Any business that tries to pretend that only the unhappy folks that actually tell 'em that are the only unhappy customers they have are simply deluding themselves.



As for this particular case wow ........ what a reaction........

I'd say if Rob's not happy then it's more than legit for him to say so and tell us all if he chooses.

Perhaps Rob didn't make it clear to Steamy that he was unhappy with the outcome. Knowing Rob ('fraid I've never met Steamy) I would find that hard to believe. If he ear bashes a car park attendent over 50p I can't believe he'd be flippant over larger sums!!

But ... if the business is really listening to the customer it really would know how happy/unhappy they were.


As far as this place is concerned posts "having a go" or "slagging off" those who've made comment would only serve as further warning to someone like me to steer clear of that business .......... a post from Rob saying something like "it went tits up but they did a blinding job at sorting it" would have me running to spend my hard earned spondolics.


Seems pretty straightforward to me.....

I can understand both sides of the coin TBH, a bike and the related kit is a personal thing and if it looks like a monkeys breakfast then fair enough. However, I do feel the offending company should be given good chance to put things right before a full public grilling.

Despite having read these things about Stef 'I' am still going to give him my Land Rover bits to sort out despite him being over 100 miles away.
I don't pitty Stef in any way but i know he's going through a rough time with work and his beloved 'Catwoman', I'd rather line Stefs pockets than some local business thats well established.

Problem is this was the first we heard of a problem, via a public forum and third parties. This is now being dealt with privately. Our last contact with Rob had been that he was delighted with the helmet - we're not mind readers!

However this was not what this thread is about.

Duck'n'Dive - Very fair comments which I certainly understand. We are not deluding ourselves about customer satisfaction. We know full well that you cannot please all the people all the time, that's one of the reasons why there are lots of other companies doing what we do, to give people a choice. I will NOT discuss specifics anymore as these are being dealt with privately as this is NOT for public discussion anymore. I don't really give a monkey's about "statistics" and "figures" about these things, I go by what I know and how it feels. I have had people come to us and say "Look, this is good but..." and we've resolved it, usually by changing one or two things to their satisfaction. We've also had lots of people come to us and say "Wow, this is brilliant, can you quote my mate...." and so on, and so forth. It really is swings and roundabouts and we're prepared to accept constructive, reasonable, polite criticism. Threats, downright rudeness and aggression will only be met with massive resistance, and it's been known for me to react violently before, which is the reason why the voice of calm (Claire) normally deals with the few problems we've had.

Rhino - Thank you for your support, I look forward to "pimping up" your Landy when the time is right and thank you for NOT pitying me, that's the last thing I need. Oh yeah, chinS??? Ya cheeky git!:}

To everybody else who has emailed, PM'd and phoned - a HUGE thank you and it's nice to know we still have a few friends out there in Bird land.:yo:

As far as this thread and the previous thread are concerned I will NOT be posting anymore about this subject. I was seriously considering leaving this forum for good, but why should I let a small group of "playground bullies" push me out of something I enjoy? I'm not one to be bullied, never have been - never will be!

OK, I can understand being a bit shocked if that's the first you hear.

But, as I say it's up to him how/what he does in my book..... there's no law says he has to/should do anything other than run away and tell folks.

I've only had one bit of paintwork done (locally) and the chap was at pains to check it carefully with me. When finished he asked me to bring the bike to him so he could check the panel on the bike before finishing off and doing the decals. His view was he could do the panel better (he felt the pearl was not quite right & making it look very slightly different to the other panels) .... he wanted to do it again (FOC) but I was OK with it.

Now that's what I mean about knwoing how the customer feels. Had he simply given it back and left it up to me to complain I'd proly not go back. As it is I'd trust him anytime......
