Never driven a convertible in my life, never felt the need, but was looking forward to experiencing open air motoring today as I had a convertible as a courtesy car.

Pissed down non stop all day.:risas3:

And I can report that the 2 Series BMW is pretty rubbish, but nowhere near as bad as the 1 Series, which is pretty awful.

They have to be the right car for the right person IMHO. Had an E type Jag for four days( rental), awesome, you cannot be shy if you drive one of these as everyone wants to talk to you. Most classic convertibles are OK for either gents or ladies to drive. But some of the modern stuff, mostly hairdresser material. Even exotica, like Ferrari or Lamborghini, these need to be driven by younger good looking people not someone like me, a middle aged fat munter. And anyone who owns a Land Rover Evoque convertible needs punching really really hard, and the muppet who designed it and commissioned it.

Going to take some tablets and sit in the corner now to get over the image of the horror that is Evoque ragtop.

I must admit I love convertible cars much prefer them any day
I'm the opposite, a nice solid roof and climate control for me any day. Although I do like the panoramic sunroof in the current steed.

I'm going to upset you now by saying that I quite like the ragtop Evoke :couch:

I didn't even know such a thing existed.

Good lord, what were the designers thinking....

Good lord, what goes through the mind of someone who buys one......

The only thing that I can think of that is more pointless is the Mini Clubman. Disaster of a car. A lesson into how to make an already bad car even worse.

Looks like a kids pedal car after someone took a footpump to it. :vomiton22je:
