Greetings fellow BIRD LOVERS- i currently do 102 miles a day to and from work on my titanium S reg bird , my brake pads are knackered and i would like to change them myself, i am confident in my technical abilities, just need to know the method ! Please advise...

wedge block of wood between lever and handle bar( stops 'helpful friends ' squeezing the lever for you.

bottom end of capliers little screw, undo is a blanking plug , very short about 5 threads, dont lose it, stick allen key in the hole , undo the slide pin. pull pin out, wiggle caplier pads should fall out. lightly grease the back of the pads, push pads in making sure that the front end locates in place properly refit slide pin, do up blanking plate screw.


while you are doing the pads, you ought to undo the two caplier bolts and clean the pistons, etc before you put the pads in.

30 minutes job to do the pads including smoke, longer to do the cleaning.

:} Thanks , Will collect 3 sets of pads from DOBLES in COULSDEN, SURREY after work. Will fit them as soon as i get home !
