Went Last Year

and will go again this year.

Its a fairly small affair, but local to me so I usually go with a couple of friends.

The Police Honda Blades were there from Durham last time, Blades in that pearlescent white looked a bit strange. Also had a go on a Triumph Rocket III, not for the faint hearted, just getting it off the sidestand was an effort. Incredible in a straight line, but negotiating roundabouts was an experience I am trying to forget.

Its worth the day if you are not too far away.

May see you there Valley.

Well i paid a visit to the launch today. Met at Aber at 8:30 when it was pissing down, had a brisk ride over The Foreast of Dean en route but then had to follow the diversion left towards Ross due to road closures which was a bit of a pain.

Show was OK i suppose but i couldn't get to test ride a Beamer until 4:30, didn't have an assessed ride because i couldn't be bothered with doing that yet again, didn't buy anything because i'm too tight and finished up going home on the Motorway.

The plus side was that there were Babes in attendance which made a middle aged man very happy.:lick:

Went yesterday..... weather was a bit minging.......

Didn't bother with any of the assesment rides as I don't want to embarris them!!! (well all right me then)..........

Police chopper was thumping around doing low passes... did look a bit worried at one point as it was a bit breezy.....

Had a look at the bikes, inlcuding the police blade and busa. Ural + sidecar with the drive to the sidecar as well. Chap sellingoff ex-police & military bikes - I liked the army harley trail bike with jerry can panniers both front and back!!

Nice burgers...........................................

Funniest moments...... the models who agreed to sit in the old car while the trials rider did his "up and over" bonnet/roof/boot... thye didn't exatcly look impressed when the rear window smashed!!

Also the "care in the community vegetarian drum band". Strange bunch all wearing bright tie died shirts and playing various size drum and tambourines....... as they started playing it really started pissing down and the poor sods got soaked...... as someone shouted out "it's the first time I have actually seem a rain dance that worked".

On the way home about 7 or 8 police bikes (including the blade) were heading home (Lancashire??) on the M6..... tagged along with 'em at a steady pace... wondrous to see the traffic parting up ahead as a sea of lights and bright jackets approached...... even funnier when some numptys didn't appear to see them....... you could almost see the cars jump when they finally looked in the rear view mirror!!
