I can't add much to what has already been said and as a 'day tripper' yesterday I almost felt guilty having to leave long before I wanted to - gained some brownie points back at home though. :-0)

Great to meet 1200Pete and discuss bikes having only ever chatted on the phone before.

Russ, what was the prize for the furthest travelled?

Joe I tested those front brakes on the way back, they do work, play in the lever or not :-0)

Yoshi you are right those Pirellis do grip in the wet, 3 figures in torrential downpour on Salisbury Plain on my way back.

Wuz, Berns passes on her best.
Arti, I forgot to leave my flask behind this time h1d1ng2
RiverBill you never did grab my cash :-0)

Great front end Taffy, come to think of it great Bike!

Great nattering with Rhino, Paddy S, Pierre, Hunter and the rest of you!

A sad reason for a Bash as has been said, but from the short time I was able to spend there a worthy event which anybody would have been proud of.

Well done Lumpy, Smix, Mel and anybody else who was involved in the organisation :yo:

The one lasting 'memory' that I will have is of 'Kilt' and 'those slippers'

Lumpy was there too, and 2 college mates of Bens, and Si and Dave and a few GSers an one or two TRC / Biker Babble and Romi form the ER5 site too. Who was the chap on the Buell?

Good turnout chaps and chapesses, thanks very much for the support.

Very weird - I watched Freebird again last night as it was Ben's birthday, the last film I heard him really rave about. The biker who died and the Wessex gang are seeking revenge for would have been 40 years old the day they ride to Wales. Freaked me out a bit.

Great film, totally understand why Ben loved it so much - got to be one of the most accurate depictions of a trip ever committed to celluloid

Your little tribute pic, sig block, to Ben would look ace on the t shirts, or in many other places, if you would do me the honour of allowing me to use it?

That combined with the quote from the flyer and a little bit more would be ace.

PS. I still don't get the film in my innocent naivety.
