You've got to admire its ambition. My pal in France has one, and he often has to retrieve it from the field next door when it tries to mow the crop.
on a serious note - we recently visited Herstmonceux Castle where they had half a dozen autonomous mowers on trial. I guess they were probably ‘commercial’ jobs but they seemed to be doing quite a decent job on the areas that were reasonably well manicured. And they were certainly hypnotic judging by the amount of people, including us, that were quite happy to stand and watch them in action.Has anyone had first hand experience of autonomous lawnmowers and more specifically wire free ones. Whilst I sort of enjoy mowing the lawn it can be a real pain, especially when I have the time but the weather is against me and vice versa.
If I were looking at buying I think the first thing I would look at is battery life…can’t imagine domestic models would be much good for anything other than small gardens??
The larger domestic ones can cope with 5000 square metres 1.2 acres so the battery life should be adequate.on a serious note - we recently visited Herstmonceux Castle where they had half a dozen autonomous mowers on trial.
