anyone had probs with carol nash alarms?
i had a datool cat 4 fitted for 300 quid,was going to pay it in one go(using mates debit card) but they said i could have 3 interest free payments over 3 months after paying the first 75 so why not thought i,keep me cash a bit longer.so every month i give me mate 75 quid, just before last payment is due get letter from c/n saying i haven't made any payments of ?93(yes 93) as agreed.
phone call goes;"you said you'd send us 3 post dated cheques"
"no" says i "we agreed to take it from card used to pay deposit"
"no WE didn't"
"yes YOU did"etc
then "why ?93? its 75!"
"NO its 93!"
more of this,they said i'd agreed with engineer to upgrade it to a cat 4.
"no,thats what i agreed to buy when i booked it what am i upgrading too exactly"
"we'll need to listen to our recording of your calls,we'll get back to you"
"ok then but your still wrong,and why has it taken you nearly 3 months to get back to me?"
"no were not in error but will check the tapes"
after a couple of days they get back to me;
"err,our mistake we agreed to take the money from the card bit didn't,err the fitter didn't call us asking to upgade to the alarm you already ordered,err don't know why it took us 3 moths to tell you about our mistakes,anything else we can help you with Mr Jeffrey......sorry"
