Too many horses get injured as a result of racing without adding a panicked horse to the numbers.
If not stopped a racehorse can literally run themselves to death when in a panic, Cougar, or so I was always told.
Depends on the human, I can think of one that at this moment in time I would cheer his demise however it happened.I'd rather see the dumb animal kill itself than see it kill a human which is something that was entirely possible

As someone who was bought up around horses I say stupid even with a pikey pony you risk major injury never mind with a highly strung racehorse
