To be honest not much will change.The emissions test will be based on the PLATED value

If the VIN plate states the level should be X amount, then that is what the vehicle will be tested at

Ahhhh I see
I did read that if a tester saw ‘smokey’ emissions from the exhaust .... which is a bit of a concern for my 15 year old Picasso ...
MOT due a day or so later than start of new regs ..... MAY try to get it done sooner !!

"Headlight washers"...? WTF is the point in including these...?

I've never understood the point in testing "selective accessories" that not all models have or need. :rolleyes:

Yesssss... but every tester I have spoken to who has attended a recent review course has said they have been advised to 'use discretion' in the case of older vehicles.

I took my van for MOT week and a half ago weeks ago ( due bout May 16th ) and asked if it would pass under the new regime.. No problem came the answer :)
