Neck tube not waterproof

Had a BMW one for ages but it word out.
Got this lovely KNOX tube, really nice but discovered last weekend it's not water proof. Pardon the pun - pissed off :(:confused:

I do not think I have ever had a neck tube that is water proof,,, I gather the BMW one is ?

I tend to wear my neck tube inside my jacket, and jacket fastened to the top.
I use it more like a draught excluder to stop wind chill ....
If the necktube was waterproof ,water would run down inside my jacket ?
Or am I wrong ?

I think the idea is to fit it over your mouth and nose...as modelled by Santa here.....:xmas2:
