Well... Is he?
I say "yes, he is", but he doesn't seem able to get a comfortable setup for the M1.
I understand that Vinales is very confident that he's "found something" that cures all the bike's ills, but then, he's said that pretty much ever since he arrived at Yamaha.
Somewhere along the line there seem to have been some changes to the M1 that make the bike disagreeable to the experienced riders (Rossi and Vinales), but which don't seem to hinder rookie riders in the least (Zarco and Quatararo in particular). If Rossi could solve the mystery, I reckon he could win another championship.
He's still good enough to do so, in my opinion.
