I am mildly curious on this one John. Whilst not an exercise fanatic, I was reasonably fit ( age taken into consideration) and was walking/climbing up a mountain in Corfu only a month before it happened.
The state of my arteries must have been having some determental effect, so I am waiting with anticipation to see the outcome.
Return to previous state, fine by me. 10% and I'm quids in :yo:
Bear with me for a minute JawsOk.. a very close analogy ( as given me by a man who knows and also happens to do some serious riding ;-) )
It is very much like having suspension that is past its best
The degradation happens so slowly we are not aware of it. Worse, because it is a slow process we ride round the problems and do not even realise there is one..
Then one day the rear shock goes pop !
So you now HAVE to have the suspension sorted out. All is rebuilt and suddenly you find the bike doing stuff that you forgot it was capable of :-0)
My personal analogy would be one of a 2 stroke engine that needs a decoke
performance slowly drops off and once again tis not really noticable cos the drop of is slow it is not noticed..
Then you do a decoke and by the cringe !!
...Quietest I've been since ya went in - ...suppose all the screamin had ta stop some time :-0)I see that DA has gone quiet now that I'm out......... h1d1ng2

...Really gladyarr-OK and Welcome home! :k
Howard mate, the op does pray on your mind, but once you're in and they've shaved you, gowned you and given you the two little tablets (they're just to help you relax!) The next thing you will know is some 12 hours later when it all done. You will be a bit groggy but NOT in any pain. From then on its slow steady steps to recovery.
