...Done 'n' Won...

Dark Angel

Still kickin' it!
Well: another championship ?done and won?.

At least the deciding race was a belter to watch. k1ap

It?s been another year of change for MotoGP and, ultimately, that?s what kept it interesting (in the end)!

Best shot of the day for me was of Stoner?s mum and dad :yo: (if you saw it, you?ll know...) and the worst shot of the day (for me) was of Rossi charging into a corner before realising he had no front brake...!

It was brilliant to see Capirossi hanging on, quite literally, to a rampant bike and, while all Rossi fans will be disappointed, we all look forward to next year, regardless of allegiance...

...and I hope every fan of MotoGP will do the same... :yo:

..?Well Done, Ducati/Casey?... k1ap

...Come on... :yo:

...Come on, Vale...!!!

The only thing worth watching in F1 is the first lap!

With most championships considering the 1 make tyre rule, do you guys think it could work in Moto GP? Tyres seemed to become a big factor later in this years season in making it a bit spread out.

I enjoyed it all the same.

And while we're congratulating people, well done to Luke Jones for taking the 125GP cup in British Superbike series. Deffinatley a name to watch there I think.

:p ...Could be a "one tyre" rule in MotoGp next season...There'll be a decision soon...

...But it also seems that the Rossi/Yamaha/Michelin alliance is prepared to fight back next season if the current status quo prevails...

...All the signs of a fightback are there...

...The last few races could be very interesting indeed...

...Come on...

...Come on, VALE...!!!

yep, big congrats to Stoner a very worthy champion and won it on merit and not other peoples misfortunes .. I bet Philip Island meet is going to be one hell of a party

So now the fat girls singing lets put things in their proper prospective..

1 The tyre argument....
Bridgestone have NEVER EVER won a championship untill now. All the other previous GP championships have been won on Mitchlins. I personally feel that Bridgestone are not being given the credit that they desreve for all their efforts and finally after all these years making a tyre that is as good as the Mitchlins and better on some tracks.. The one tyre rule has been in effect for years... if you want to win the championship you HAVE to be on Mitchlins.. as in Swantz Rainy, King Kenny Doohan Rossi Hayden etc etc etc.. and I am in no doubt that they will come back next year with all guns blazin ..

The current tyre rules were brought in this year after consulting the big hitters, ie Rossi, Edwards, Hayden etc Stoner was not even asked his opinion, as he after all is only a rookie... Vale and Burgess were the main instigators of the current rules.. d34l

which brings me to the other main point...

Nobody and I mean Nobody expected Casey to do what he done.. Vale,s preseason interviews always stated that his main rivals were going to be Pedrosa Hayden Caperossi.. Stoner only ever had a polite tongue in cheek mention as he was only the second rider at Ducati..

Stoner caught Rossi, Hayden, Pedrosa and ESPECIALLY Caperossi with their pants down ... Casperossi was supposed to learn him the lines / tactics /race craft etc etc OOOPS

If the Ducatis were supposed to be the fastest things bar none out there, they would finish 1st 2nd 3rd 4th every race .. The fastest thing out there was Casey, nothing to do with bikes, tyres, teams etc

Casey kicked some serious quality ass this year and out ridden the lot of them including Rossi :p and thoroughly deserved to win the championship

btw did you see his missus :lick::lick:

does anyone know if Bradley got that top ride thats up for grabs ??

btw(2) Hayden will win it next year but my full allegiance will be for Mr James Toesland R#?

it was a good race as was the 250s. he good thing with HDD recorders is you can skip bits or fast forward through it. I've rewatched good races in the past as it is great racing. The result is one thing but it's how it gets there sometimes.

sometimes... i just threw my teddy out of the pram ;) i was looking forward to sitting down and watching it unfold... seemed a bit pointless when i knew the result...

ah well .. see what happens next year ..hopefully rossi will get things sorted...

Hi Oldbull..
A good post once again..dead right about Ducati..Casey kick arse good and proper..
But if Honda get a top bike for next year Dani will take some beating he's rode well this season with a not so good bike..Honda and the Yams have been struggling all this year IMHO.. p0pc0rn41

Yep... not singing so loud today are we girls.. but second place is better than third I suppose , mite as well start getting used to it again

Eh?! Headin for a TENTH World Championship and finishin second by less than a blink of an eye (while working on electronics) means he’s “finished”? These words’ll come back to haunt ya, M8 :t – just like t'others

Well… …Maybe not those words… (I've e-mailed your comments to Sharon, btw ) …but…

can someone tell me how come Dovi is in third place with a 1.56'8 and Spies in 4th with a 1.55'9 ..

1.55'9 is more than 1.56'8, M8. That means Dovi took less time to do a lap than Spies…

HTH… p0pc0rn41 :k :-0)
